Summary Problems of lithological-geochemical, chemical, isotopic and other investigations are discussed of the organic substance dispersed in rocks, as are those dealing with liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons. A decisive influence on the concentration and composition of fractions of the dispersed organic substance and on the degree of preservation is exerted by the stages of sedimentation and early diagenesis. The distribution of parentroclc suites of oil and gas in the sediments is determined by the lithogenetic stages considered, by which the formation, types and extent of hydrocarbons are decisively influenced. B y means of a modified method of regimen measures of processes of emigration are calculated in the upper 5 km of the non-metamorphosed sedimentary cover.
