Preface This is the seventh edition of CSA 8355, lnstollation code for solid-fuel-burning appliances ond equipment. .l It supersedes the previous editions, published in 2001, 1991 ,1987,1984,1982, and 980. Major changes in this edition include revised requirements for the venting of flue gases and for floor and ember protection of appliances. This Code was prepared by the Technical Committee on lnstallation Code for Solid-Fuel-Burning Equipment, under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Steering Committee on Fire Safety and Fuel-Burning Equipment, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee.
