PARTICLE ACCELER ATOR CANISTE RS (PAC) THERE ARE THREE Particle Accelerator Canisters, one for each of the three collider blades in the flux capacitor. These canisters accelerate the particles to astronomical speeds prior to being introduced into the flux capacitor. These PACs are not as powerful as their lengthie r Hadron counterparts in Switzerland, but they are more efficient, re9uire less power to operate, and are, most importantly, portable. The accelerators produce beams of supercharged particles that are then directed through insulated conduits, which feed into the flux capacitor. The three accelerators must remain absolutely uniform and balanced while each utilizing independent power coils. Therefore, a dedicated power regulation system controls the trio in unison.

ACTOR COOLING VENTS
EMERGENCY COOLING SYSTEM
THE REACTOR COOLING VENTS serve the same function as the cooling towers at nuclear power plants, helping to regulate the temperature, keeping the reactor cool, and purging excess heat. These custom vents also contain heat exchangers and condensers to maximize efficiency. The moving parts inside the vents are controlled by hydraulics, as is the plutonium pellet-handling system inside the reactor itself.
THE TH REE GREEN accumulator tubes mounted in the passenger side pontoon are filled with li9uid Freon. The Freon is fed through high-pressure stainless steel tubes into the Thermal Control Unit, which distributes and regulates all the coolant. The emergency cryogenic solenoids are triggered in the event of an impending emergency, and li9uid Freon is directly injected into the reactor, causing instant condensation. This creates excess pressure that the system must purge through the vents, blan keting t he ground wi th a cold laye r of gas.

O UTSIDE OF PLUTONIUM, the only 20th century power source capable of generating the necessary 1.21 gigawatts of electricity is a bolt of lightning. In order to allow a lightning rod to channel this elect ric al energy into the flux capacitor, this assembly is designed to hold a custom-made rod and hook in a stable position. The internal receptacle bypasses the nuclear reactor but ties into the reactor's e lectri cal output, ensuring that the reactor will remain in perfect working order for subse9uent time travel ing when powered by pluton iu m instead of lightning. The horizontal stack of current transformers on the exterior assembly are used to accurately measure c u rrents of enormous magnitude.
