On the receipt of letter orders, our rule will be to fill the
same immediately, as
far as possible, from our stock, and the balance of the articles
will be sent (unless
countermanded) as soon as they come from our factories. Goods sent in by our customers to be packed, or shipped, will be received by us (if properly marked), and have our ordinary care ; but we will not assume any responsibility against damage or loss. A ll goods will be at the risk of purchasers, after shipment from Berlin Depot, Conn., or ISTew York, as the case may be, unless we are directed to insure in each and every order or purchase. W e shall charge a moderate price for all packages, except those specially exempted herein. Money will be received, or drafts collected and held on deposit, subject to sight draft; but no interest will be allowed on deposits. All parties who purchase goods from us are requested to make to o u r o r d e r a n d a d d r e s s o n l y ,
all remittances
and to make no payments to others on our account,
unless upon a special order, in each case signed by the President, Treasurer or Secretary of the Company.
Any payments, otherwise made, on ouraccount,
will not be credited
