FRANKLIN’S PATENT
SAFETY PICTURE MOULDING HOOKS, P a te n te d
June
14t
h
, 1881.
S a fe ty .
Conform ation.
Insulated.
A d a p ta tio n .
These Hooks are made of Hard, Smooth Finished Brass, and w ith Burnished Edges. As will be seen from the above cut, the rear extension of the lower hook forms a base, which, resting against th e wall, relieves the moulding and enables it to sustain a much greater weight th an it otherwise could. The Hook, being concave in shape, the chafing of cord, and kinks or bends which are made in wire when straightening a picture, are thus avoided. All or any p a rt of a hook can be enameled to m atch colored mouldings, thus m aking a uniform finish.
