Preface

It is a great privilege for us to present the proceedings of the First International Conference on Expert Clouds and Applications (ICOECA 2021) to the readers, delegates, and authors of the conference event. We greatly hope that all the readers will find it more useful and resourceful for their future research endeavors. The First International Conference on Expert Clouds and Applications (ICOECA 2021) was held at GITAM School of Technology, GITAM University, Bengaluru, India, from February 18 to 19, 2021, with an aim to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, and industrialists to discuss the state-of-the-art research opportunities, challenges, and issues in intelligent computing applications. The revolutionizing scope and rapid development of computing technologies will also create new research questions and challenges, which in turn results in the need to create and share new research ideas and encourage significant awareness in this futuristic research domain. The proceedings of ICOECA 2021 provides limelight on creating a new research landscape for intelligent computing applications with the support received and the research enthusiasm that has truly exceeded our expectations. This made us to be more satisfied and delighted to present the proceedings with a high level of satisfaction. The responses from the researchers to the conference had been overwhelming from India and overseas countries. We have received 221 manuscripts from the prestigious universities/institutions across the globe. Furthermore, 55 manuscripts are shortlisted based on the reviewing outcomes and conference capacity constraints. About the Editors I. Jeena Jacob is working as Professor in Computer Science and Engineering Department at GITAM University, Bangalore, India. She actively participates on the development of the research field by conducting international conferences, workshops, and seminars. She has published many articles in referred journals. She has guest-edited an issue for International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organization. Her research interests include mobile learning and computing. Francisco M. Gonzalez-Longatt is currently Full Professor in electrical power engineering at Institutt for elektro, IT og kybernetikk, Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge, Norway. His academic qualifications include first class in Electrical Engineering of Instituto Universitario Politécnico de la Fuerza Armada Nacional, Venezuela (1994), Master of Business Administration (Honors) of Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua, Venezuela (1999), Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (2008), Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Professional Practice from Coventry University (2013), and Diploma in Leadership and Management (ILM Level 3), Loughborough University (2018). He is Vice-President of Venezuelan Wind Energy Association, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), Senior Member of the IEEE, Member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology—The IET (UK), and Member of International Council on Large Electric Systems—CIGRE. His research interest includes innovative (operation/control) schemes to optimize the performance of future energy systems. Selvanayaki Kolandapalayam Shanmugam is currently working as Associate Professor in Computer Science, Concordia University, Chicago, USA. She had over all 15+ years of lecturing sessions for theoretical subjects, experimental and instructional procedure for laboratory subjects. She presented more research articles in the national and international conferences and journals. Ivan Izonin graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2011 (M.Sc. in Computer Sciences) and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 2012 (M.Sc. in Economic Cybernetics). He got his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence in 2016. He is currently working as Assistant at Publishing Information Technologies Department, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, Ukraine. He has published more than 80 publications, including 8 patents for inventions and 1 tutorial. His major research interests are computational intelligence; high-speed neural-like systems; non-iterative machine learning algorithms. Dr. Izonin participated in developing two international Erazmus+ projects—MASTIS and DocHub. He is Technical Committee Member of several international conferences.
