Abstract: "This book presents the subject of transport phenomena starting with the fundamental principles and mechanisms that govern mass transport, and continuing with the formulation and solution of practical problems spanning all sub-disciplines of environmental science and chemical engineering. The book provides the reader with a fundamental understanding of how to quantify the spread and distribution of contaminants in the environment, as well as the basis for designing processes related to water purification, wastewater treatment, and solid waste disposal, among others.
