my itty-bitty bio introduces the youngest readers to important cultural figures. Each biography uses simple, short sentences and words familiar to young readers to detail the subject’s life. Biographies are written in an engaging first-person voice, with historical and contemporary photos and illustrations to keep the reader’s interest. Simple questions prompt readers to compare their lives to that of the biography subject. A timeline in the backmatter uses repeated images and information learned earlier in the book to reinforce the material. A glossary and index are also included.
