Introduction I'm glad you have picked this book to read. In this book, you will find 30 different relaxation exercises to help bring more stress-relief, relaxation, peace, joy, contentment, and gratitude to your life.
We live in a fast-paced society, but that does not mean we need to run our bodies and lives fast-paced. Slow down for 30 days and notice how it has a domino effect on your life after you have completed all 30 exercises.
30 Days of Relaxation
Relaxation: Day 1 Sit still with no movement for 1 minute, and breathe slowly.
Relaxation: Day 2 Wake up without looking at your phone, and stretch for 1 minute. While you stretch, breathe slowly.
Relaxation: Day 3 Read for 15 minutes before going to bed today. Let the final thing you do today be slow breathing until you fade away into sleep.
Relaxation: Day 4 Sit outside to for 10 minutes. While you are out, meditate and focus on everything for which you can be grateful.
Relaxation: Day 5 Take your time with your shower or bath today. Enjoy every sud. Enjoy the rhythmic scrubbing of your body. Enjoy the rinsing of the day off of yourself, and rejoice in this time of self-care.
Relaxation: Day 6 Lay flat on your back, with your arms and legs spread wide. Release all tension from your fingers, toes, head, neck, back, stomach, and entire body. Now stay in this position, close your eyes, and breathe slowly for 5 minutes.
Relaxation: Day 7 Open all of your windows, open all of your blinds, open all of your curtains, fill your surroundings with beautiful smells (aromatherapy diffuser, candles, incense, sage, etc.), and enjoy this day the universe has given you.
Relaxation: Day 8 Speak the following affirmations: I am relaxed. I am calm. I am serene. I am peaceful. My life is filled with tranquility. I am stress-free. I am thankful for all of life. Each day is a new opportunity. Relaxation is a priority for me. Self-care is a priority for me.
Loving myself is a priority for me. I enjoy deep breathing. I enjoy stretching. I enjoy walks with nature. I embrace joy.
Relaxation: Day 9 Be extra loving, gentle, kind, thoughtful, positive, and affirming to yourself today.
Relaxation: Day 10 Listen to nature sounds, rain, or ocean waves while you sleep tonight.
Relaxation: Day 11 Be generous to someone today. You do not have to give in a monetary fashion, but you can. However, you can also give your time, resources, knowledge, kindness, love, and patience.
Relaxation: Day 12 Speak positive affirmations over any stressful relationship(s) in your life today.
Relaxation: Day 13 Rid your life of any clutter that is taking up space emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Relaxation: Day 14 Go on a walk today. Take in all the sounds of nature, the sounds of cars, the sounds of people, the sounds of movement, the sounds of the trees whistling, the sounds of the birds chirping, the sounds of insects. Take everything in, and be grateful. Be in awe of the intricate beauty that surrounds you. Oh, how small we are in comparison to nature and all of the life that surrounds us.
Relaxation: Day 15 Today, forgive someone that hurt you deeply; pray for them, and recognize that they do not hold power over you unless you give them that power. There is freedom, relief, hope, healing, and beauty in forgiveness.
Relaxation: Day 16 Lay flat on your back with your legs up in the air flat against a wall. Place your arms out wide, release, and let go of everything for five minutes.
Relaxation: Day 17 Find and experience joy in everything you do today.
Relaxation: Day 18 Write down 10 things you are grateful for today: 1. _____________________________ 2. _____________________________ 3. _____________________________ 4. _____________________________ 5. _____________________________ 6. _____________________________ 7. _____________________________ 8. _____________________________ 9. _____________________________ 10. ____________________________
Relaxation: Day 19 Close your eyes and stretch your neck. Roll it around clockwise five times, slowly. Then, roll it around counterclockwise five times, slowly. Be sure to breathe the entire time slowly.
Relaxation: Day 20 Wash your sheets, pillow-cases, and blankets (comforter or bedset) today to ensure you have fresh bedding to sleep on tonight; it makes a difference.
Relaxation: Day 21 Love who you are today. Write 10 things you love about yourself: 1. _____________________________ 2. _____________________________ 3. _____________________________ 4. _____________________________ 5. _____________________________ 6. _____________________________ 7. _____________________________ 8. _____________________________ 9. _____________________________ 10. ____________________________
Relaxation: Day 22 Foam roll your body before going to bed today. Breathe deeply and slowly as you do this. Roll over the knots, pain, and tension that can so often stick to our bodies with time.
Relaxation: Day 23 Sit quietly in your most comfortable position, chair, or area, and simply sit still for five minutes. Feel gratitude for your life.
Relaxation: Day 24 1. Wake up. 2. Drink a full glass/bottle of water. 3. Make your bed up. 4. Stretch for five minutes. 5. Take a 15-minute walk. 6. Write 10 things of gratitude. 7. Enjoy every minute of today. Do this in the exact order listed.
Relaxation: Day 25 If you have plants, water them today, and enjoy every minute of the process. If you don't have plants, get one today. Add some life to your surroundings.
Relaxation: Day 26 Go to the quietest space you can find today, and write down what you feel at this very moment. Next, write down your 5 most important goals for you to accomplish. Finally, claim you have reached every goal in the present tense. Believe in yourself, and know you can do anything.
Relaxation: Day 27 Watch animal planet or a similar show. Keep it on in the background and enjoy the beauty that fills the show.
Relaxation: Day 28 Love who you are today, and forgive yourself for any errors you have made to this day. Learn from your past, and move forward. Let go of any resistance, tension, stress, embarrassment, and attachment to your past. Live your most optimal, relaxed, and stress-free life.
Relaxation: Day 29 Rub a relaxing body cream (recommended: lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint) all over your body today. Moisturize your body, feel that tension escaping your body, and embrace the softness of your skin.
Relaxation: Day 30 Commit to embracing a relaxing and stress-free (low stress) lifestyle going forward. Take a deep breath, inhale the new, and exhale the old. Embrace the new habit you have created of relaxing. Enjoy your life!
