Who'd want to change a curve of a Brigitte Bardot or a line of a luscious Monroe? Nobody, 'cause there's no rea· son for it. Those curves are OK as is. The hands-off deal also goes if you're thinking about the operating rod of your M1 rifle. It's got a slight bend not far from the end, something like the bow of a fiddle, and it's there for a pur-

pose. It helps rotate the clip latch and eject the cartridge clip the right way. So, don't bend it or twist it or try to resist it-just leave it as is. If you're still in doubt, have your armorer·artificer take a squint at it. 3
