THIS BOOK HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL TO SAY TO EACH PERSON WHO READS IT. The Lazy Man’s Guide to Enlightenment is unique because it allows each person to find his or her own way. There are no strict rules. No daily regimen. Just a handful of simple reminders. It is most definitely a book for everyone. The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment was originally printed and published by the author himself. The first printing was sold out in two months. The owners of a small bookstore in California liked the book so much that they started their own publishing company to handle the thousands of requests for the Guide—often from original buyers who had given their copies away as gifts. Now, with the Bantam edition, everyone can experience the phenomenon that has already brightened nearly a quarter of a million lives.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR THADDEUS GOLAS came upon the idea for The Lazy Man’s Guide to Enlightenment back in 1952, when he decided to try to listen to God instead of praying to him. As a boy, he worked as a printer’s apprentice, later graduated from Columbia University and held various jobs in publishirig. The Guide was actually written after the author “plunged into psychedelic chaos in San Francisco for several years.’” While he has received numerous letters from fans of his book, Mr. Golas has never
lectured or held classes on it. Mr. Golas is presently living in Humboldt County, California.
