Kaleidoscope Eyes: Discovering the New Medicine

As I listened to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1976, marmalade skies or not, I was convinced that poor girl had colitis. LOOK WhenINSIDE my best friend brought it to my BROWSE BY TOPIC 0

with Diamonds”—I was sure he was wrong. I’d listen on my old Thorens turntable, over and over. Nope, I was hearing it correctly. Colitis. It was only upon his observation that perhaps I was aurally blinded did the scales fall from my eyes (well, ears) and my ability to listen— truly hear—become evident. Finally, I heard it. Colitis. Colitiscope. Ah, a girl with kaleidoscope eyes. Turns out, nobody had colitis after all. All that was needed to perceive things differently was a fine movement of the mirrored cylinder. That refined movement became a blessing for me in 2009, when my mother was diagnosed with stage 3B metastatic adenocarcinoma. We looked at many cancer models. A common thread connecting them all was that cancer, like all so-called disease, was something to fight. The body’s intelligence had become fallible and susceptible to malfunction and breakdown. It was around this time we were introduced to a paradigm that would forever change our perspective. It would make sense of illness, perhaps for the very first time, and authenticate that disease was not a mistake of nature but rather an intrinsic part of it —that nature was not faulty and never, ever, goes awry. A feeling of overwhelming calm came over me, and I knew I could never look back. I had to continue in this direction. I needed to know more. With a newfound liberation from fear and panic that can only come from an understanding of the biological purpose of disease, I could now move forward. To elicit a cure we didn’t have to manipulate genomes, alkalize the water, find the next “smart” drug, or war against anything whatsoever. The answer was revealed by understanding what exclusive life event unleashed the physical response on the https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/holistic-healthcare/kaleidoscope-eyes-discovering-the-new-medicine.html

Formally anchored in embryology and verified by multiple European universities and institutions, German New Medicine (GNM), the scientific discoveries of Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer, is a natural science based on five universal biological principles that view disease through the eyes of Mother Nature. Dr. Hamer analyzed the brain scans of thousands of patients and compared them to their medical records. To his amazement, he found a clear and undeniable correlation, and could accurately diagnose the patient simply from his or her brain scan. The new medicine represents a change in our understanding of what we commonly call disease. It reveals that disease is not caused by malfunctions, but instead is initiated by a biological conflict, or shock, that assists an individual during times of unexpected emotional distress. Whenever a living organism experiences an unexpected, highly acute trauma—one too overwhelming to process— nature intercedes to take the “weight” of the distress off of the psyche and shift it to the body. The weight is translated into a compensatory special biological program that manifests on the organ level (an adaptation response) that the body can run or process over time. This is nature’s way of satisfying psychologist Abraham Maslow’s need for selfpreservation. The translation from the consciousness to the body, or organ, buys time for the possibility of a conflict resolution. It allows the organism to remain highly functional during even the most difficult of times. The biological conflict must catch us completely off guard— it is a shock for which we are totally unprepared. This last point is very important. If we can in any way be prepared for the conflict, the special biological program will not initiate, and we will not become ill. The sudden death of a loved one, the unforeseen loss of one’s job, a startling cancer diagnosis, an unexpected insult—all qualify as biological conflicts as long as they register on all three levels: consciousness, brain, and body.

Biological conflicts may be sexual, procreative, or territorial in nature. The biological conflict associatedBROWSE with glandular forINSIDE example, is a territorial “nest BY TOPICbreast cancer, LOOK

SUBSCRIBE worry” regarding a nest or family member. If the conflict is too distressing to process

—for example, the shock of having one’s child critically injured and in the hospital— the weight of the distress is shifted from the psyche to the body. A proliferation of glandular breast cells will begin serving the biological purpose of increasing glandular tissue to produce more milk (i.e., nutrition for the nest member in need). This is a special adaptation program in play, reflective of the very specific biological conflict associated with the breast: nourishment. Biological conflicts may involve themes of identity, separation, abandonment, resistance, or attack. The biological conflict associated with a malignant melanoma is an attack conflict— for example, a verbal attack on one’s integrity—that reflects in the deeper corium skin. Once again, if the biological conflict is too overwhelming to process, the weight of the distress is taken off of the psyche and shifted to the organ. It responds with cell proliferation at the site of attack, forming a compact melanoma. The biological purpose is to provide a protective layer against another attack. A biological conflict of feeling soiled by something dirty, disgusting, or revolting also reflects in the corium skin; shingles and athlete’s foot come to mind.

A Paradigm Shift

So, let’s dispense with the qualifiers. Despite the name, GNM is not based in Germany and it isn’t really medicine at all—at least not in the customary sense. What standard medicine calls disease, is, upon a slight movement of the kaleidoscope, a meaningful survival program created to assist us in resolving a difficult biological conflict. The biological conflict initially impacts the psyche on the emotional level, then alights a predetermined relay in the brain, as an energetic short-circuit or imprint (visible on a brain scan) exclusively based upon the conflict’s unique nature. A natural survival program, with the accompanying organic and functional tissue change, is set into motion in the corresponding organ system. The special biological program is what we commonly understand as disease. https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/holistic-healthcare/kaleidoscope-eyes-discovering-the-new-medicine.html

The new medicine explains these connections and how we might unplug or disconnect them, while providing us a scientific and empirical blueprint for the accurate cause, exact course, and predicted amelioration of nearly all disease, including its significant biological purpose. No longer is illness something that just happens to us by chance, a disease randomly striking its victims. We now understand the whys and the wherefores, and have the ability to reframe its ominousness. Since the identification and the psyche’s release of the conflict is essential to recovery, during a consultation we direct our focus to the specific moment in time that set the biological program into motion. Most recognize exactly when their biological conflict occurred, as it was invariably an acutely distressing moment. Dr. Hamer provides us with the exact biological conflict wired to any organic program (i.e., disease), from the common cold to cancer. It is so highly accurate that we know exactly in what direction to guide the discussion. Protocol in GNM involves a form of an investigative dialogue, or emotional detective work, specifically directed to search the consciousness and unearth the biological conflict. We only focus on its identification and resolution and leave the doctoring to the medical experts. Looking at an adenocarcinoma of the lung gives us a breathtaking round-earth perspective of the meaningful interplay of consciousness, brain, and organ. We find the biological conflict centers around a “death fright”— for example, a doctor’s diagnosis that is perceived as a death sentence. Perhaps the patient has been told they have six months left to live. From a biological perspective, a death fright is equated with being unable to breathe. Anyone who has ever received such news will recognize the gasp reflex. As the consciousness interprets the biological theme of the event, the shock simultaneously impacts a very specific relay switch within the brain—in this case, the brainstem.

which is placed on emergency standby.SUBSCRIBE A total preoccupation with the shock is reflected with the cold hands, insomnia and loss of appetite of the stress response, all mirroring the individual’s attempt at resolving the news. Automatically, the alveolar cells of the lung begin to proliferate, forming what medicine calls a tumor. Yet, upon a slight movement of the kaleidoscope, an intelligent survival program emerges. The additional cells—the tumor— serve to increase the available alveolar surface area, and therefore lung capacity, in order to extract more oxygen to assist the individual through the death fright conflict-shock, thereby optimizing the individual’s chance of survival. You see, nature is not in fact flawed, fallible, and diseased. Contrary to the accepted perspective, this multiplication of lung cells is not a pointless process. Rather, it serves a very definite biological purpose. The tumor grows in direct correlation to the intensity and duration of the shock. The cellular mitosis continues until the conflict-shock is resolved, at which point the consciousness releases the special program, as it is no longer needed—and the cells, as if on cue, stop replicating. Through directed dialogue, we look for practical ways to resolve the conflict. The consciousness can connect all the dots and the special biological program (the disease) is now no longer needed, as it has served its purpose. As the program in a sense reverses course, a natural healing begins on the organ level, and health is restored. We can now reframe our thinking to see disease for what it is—an essential biological special program, not to be feared, but rather to be understood and navigated in a new light.

At the very moment of a biological conflict, our subconscious makes a connection between the unique theme of the emotionally distressing event and the biological program to be switched on. A territorial loss or sexual biological conflict (angina, heart attack); a separation biological conflict (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, herpes); a brutal separation (vitiligo); a self-devaluation (fibromyalgia, arthritis); hearing conflict (tinnitus, ear infection); identity conflict (hemorrhoids); motor and muscle conflict (multiple sclerosis, Lou Gehrig’s disease, Parkinson’s), an insult attack (acne); stink conflict (common cold); profound loss (testicular cancer, ovarian cancer); complete overwhelm (myocardial infarction); morsel conflict (constipation, thyroid); betrayal with sexual connotations (prostatitis); boundary demarcation conflict (urinary tract infection, bladder problems); resistance, revulsion (diabetes, hypoglycemia); starvation (liver disease), water, fluid conflict (high blood pressure), a territorial aggression (bronchitis); a territorial anger (GERD)…and on and on. Emotional disorders such as anxiety, PTSD, OCD, depression, bi-polar syndrome, and autism involve multiple conflictshocks in opposing halves of the brain, referred to as a constellation. Additional constellations and multiple conflict-shocks are represented by programs such as AIDS, Lyme disease, migraine headaches, gout, anorexia, and bulimia. It’s fundamentally important to have the proper medical system in place to navigate through the unfolding program, and with a true understanding of GNM, most diseases need not reach the extremes we observe under a more traditional watch. The standard panic and fear of the current paradigm set into motion additional conflict-shocks (secondary and tertiary programs) that critically muddle the outcome, crippling the prospect of a recovery. Modern protocols create a slippery slope from the get-go; the very model is a strong causal determinant. On the surface the principles may appear simplistic; I’m afraid they’re not. Upon deeper investigation, we find many deep nuances to GNM that can be only appreciated within the framework of practical application.

It is in the isolation and contextual understanding of that one subtle hue where the alchemy happens. A GNM consultation generally requires one to several sessions, and results often come in the first session. Only the more complex scenarios require additional dialogue. Psyche Brain Organ By Caroline Markolin, Ph.D.

When we suffer unexpected emotional distress, like an unexpected separation, a loss of a loved one, or sudden worries or anger, the brain organ triggers a biological emergency program to respond to the exact conflict shock being experienced.

German New Medicine (GNM) is based on the findings of Dr. med. Ryke Geerd Hamer. Dr. Hamer received his medical degree in 1961 from the University of Tuebingen, Germany. He was specialized in internal medicine and practiced at

different University clinics in Germany. Dr. Hamer also shared a medical practice with his wife, Sigrid. Together, raised four children. BROWSE they BY TOPIC LOOK INSIDE

The 18th of August 1978 was, in Dr. Hamer’s own words, the darkest day of his life. On that day, Dr. Hamer received the shocking news that his oldest son Dirk had been accidentally shot. Dirk died 4 months later in his father’s arms. Shortly after Dirk’s death, Dr. Hamer was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Since he had never been seriously ill, he immediately assumed that the development of his cancer could be directly related to the tragic loss of his son. Dirk’s death and his own experience with cancer set Dr. Hamer on an extraordinary scientific journey. At the time head internist of a German cancer clinic, Dr. Hamer began to investigate his patients’ histories and soon learned that, like him, they all had suffered unexpected emotional distress prior to their cancer development. But he took his research even further. On the basis that all bodily processes are controlled from the brain, he analyzed his patients’ brain scans and compared them with their medical records. This was an entirely new approach. Until then, no studies had examined the origin of disease in the brain and the role of the brain as the mediator between our emotions and a diseased organ. What Dr. Hamer discovered was startling. He found that when we suffer unexpected emotional distress, like worries or anger, the brain triggers a biological emergency program to respond to the exact conflict shock being experienced. He established that the very moment the conflict occurs, the shock impacts a specific area in the brain causing a lesion that is visible on a brain scan as a set of sharp concentric rings. With the impact, the shock is communicated to the corresponding organ. Whether the organ responds to the conflict with the development of a tumor (cancer), a heart condition, or tissue loss as we see in osteoporosis or stomach ulcers, is determined by the exact type of emotional distress. Let’s take, for example, colon cancer: The biological conflict linked to the intestine is, as Dr. Hamer calls it, an “indigestible morsel conflict.” Animals experience these morsel conflicts in real terms, when, for example, a chunk of food is stuck in the intestinal canal. In response to this potentially life-threatening situation, the https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/psyche-brain-organ.html

intestinal cells immediately start to multiply. The biological purpose of the cell augmentation is to produce that the food morsel can be BROWSE BY more TOPICdigestive juices LOOKso INSIDE

program. For us, an “indigestible morsel” can translate into an insult, a difficult divorce, a fight over money or property, or a court case that we cannot “digest.” Dr. Hamer found that when we experience such an “indigestible morsel” conflict, the same process of cell proliferation is initiated, controlled from the part of the brain that controls the colon. As long as a person is distressed about the “indigestible issue,” the cells keep multiplying, forming what is called a colon tumor. Conventional medicine interprets these additional cells as “malignant.” Based on thousands of case studies, Dr. Hamer shows that these additional cells (the tumor) are, in reality, “disposable cells” that are only useful for the time being. The moment the “indigestible morsel” can be digested, the superfluous cells are no longer needed and are removed with the help of bacteria or fungi. Dr. Hamer also discovered that every “disease” runs in two phases. During the first, conflict-active phase, we feel mentally and emotionally stressed. Typically, we are totally preoccupied with what happened, we have cold extremities, little appetite, suffer sleep disturbances, and lose weight. If we resolve the conflict, we enter the healing phase, during which the psyche, the brain, and the affected organ undergo the phase of recovery. Since conventional medicine fails to recognize the two-phase pattern of every disease, many symptoms of the repair phase such as inflammations, fever, painful swelling, pus, discharge, blood in the stool, in the urine or in the sputum (particularly when a cancerous growth is broken down), or infections, are labeled as diseases although they are, in fact, manifestations of a natural healing process. The therapeutic aspects of GNM are manifold. The first step is to determine whether the person is still conflict-active or already healing. If still in the active phase, the focus is to identify the original conflict, develop a strategy to resolve the conflict, and prepare the patient for the healing symptoms. During the healing phase, it is important to support the patient psychologically and, if necessary, medically. But above all, it is essential to understand the nature of the symptoms. Because understanding each symptom in its biological and biographical context allows us to

Dr. Hamer’s research radically upsets the central doctrine of standard medicine, namely that diseases are a result of a malfunctioning organism. By providing clear scientific evidence that diseases such as cancer do not occur by chance but as a result of survival programs that have been successfully practiced for millions of years, Dr. Hamer shatters conventional medicine (including the medical industry) at its core. With GNM, questions like “why me?” or “why cancer?” are no longer a mystery.

Understanding Allergies

As summer is here, so is for many “allergy season.” I often asked myself: Why do some people get hay fever and others don’t? What factors determine whether we are allergic to certain pollen or to other agents such as animal hair, certain food substances, metals, feather pillows, mold, or cigarette smoke? Over the last few decades, medical science has come up with numerous theories about what causes an allergic reaction. One of the most popular views is that we develop an allergy when our organism is exposed to an offending substance at a time when our immune system is weak. But why does one person react with a runny nose, another with asthma, and yet another with a skin rash? Dr. med. Ryke Geerd Hamer, internist, medical researcher and originator of German New Medicine (GNM), explains the entire allergic process as a biological interplay between the psyche, the brain, and the corresponding organ. In 1981, Dr. Hamer discovered that every disease starts with a shock experience that catches us completely off guard. He called this unexpected conflict a DHS (Dirk Hamer Syndrome), in honor of his son Dirk whose tragic death initiated Dr. Hamer’s own cancer. Such an unanticipated event doesn’t necessarily have to be spectacular. It can simply be triggered by unanticipated anger or when somebody strikes us with an offending remark. Dr. Hamer found that at the moment we experience a DHS, the conflict shock impacts a specific area in the brain causing a lesion that can be clearly

According to GNM, every disease has two phases. During the first, conflict-active phase, we feel mentally distressed, we have cold extremities, little appetite, and suffer from sleep disturbances. If we resolve the conflict, we enter the resolution or healing phase. This is the period in which the psyche, the brain, and the organ undergo the phase of recovery, an often difficult process with fatigue, fever, inflammations, infections, and pain. Symptoms that are typical for both the common cold and certain allergic reactions are nasal congestion, a runny nose, and sneezing. The nasal mucous membrane is controlled by a brain relay in the frontal lobe of the cerebrum. By analyzing thousands of brain scans, Dr. Hamer established that it is exactly this particular brain area

When we experience an unexpected conflict shock, our mind is in an acute awareness situation. Highly alert, our subconscious picks up all components that surround the conflict such as smells, tastes, sounds, objects, or people and stores them until the conflict is completely resolved.

that is affected when we experience a “This stinks!” conflict, as he likes to call it. His findings confirm that a “stink conflict” can be experienced in real terms, for instance through a sudden offensive smell, or in a figurative sense. At the moment the conflict occurs, the nasal mucosa begins to ulcerate, a process that usually goes unnoticed. What is noticeable, however, are the typical signs of the conflict active phase namely shivers, a loss of appetite, and a certain restlessness. But as soon as we resolve the conflict, often by leaving the environment or situation that “stinks,” the ulceration in the nasal mucous membrane gets replenished. The refilling of the tissue loss causes nasal congestion and often headaches due to the brain edema in the affected brain area that also tries to heal. Sneezing and a runny nose are therefore signs that the organism is finally getting rid of the residue of the repair process and, figuratively speaking, of what caused the “stink” to begin with.

conflict such as smells, tastes, sounds,SUBSCRIBE objects, or people and stores them until the conflict is completely resolved. In GNM, the imprints that remain in the aftermath of the DHS are called tracks. These tracks are most significant because if a person is already in the healing phase and suddenly sets on a track through association or real contact, the entire conflict relapses and the Biological Special Program with all the symptoms that belong to the particular conflict starts all over again. This is, in biological terms, an allergic reaction. So what is commonly called an allergy is in fact already the healing phase after the conflict relapse. The biological purpose of the allergy is to serve as a warning system that says: “In such a situation, you’ve had a DHS. Watch out!” If someone is allergic to a certain food like peanuts, eggs, strawberries, or chocolate, the food substance was most likely consumed at the moment of the conflict shock. Now we have to be clear: When we leave the irritating substance out of the diet, it is NOT the avoidance of the food that cures the allergy but rather the avoidance of the tracks! If a person reacts to a certain pollen with a runny nose, we can conclude that the pollen in question was present when a “This stinks!” conflict took place. As long as the conflict is not completely resolved, the specific pollen will serve as a track and the “seasonal allergy” will recur year after year. Tracks always have to be taken into consideration when we are dealing with “chronic” disorders such as arthritis, angina pectoris, asthma, hemorrhoids, or recurring infections. According to GNM, the term “chronic” indicates that we have fallen back into the same conflict again and again. In order to interrupt the continual relapse cycle and be able to complete the healing phase once and for all, we have to identify the track(s) that were laid together with the original conflict shock. Clues for the cause of the allergy are usually hidden in the “context” of the allergic reaction. All circumstances such as time, place, and the specific symptoms have to be carefully scrutinized. For instance, if a person suffers from migraines only on weekends, the source will most likely be found at the workplace. While there are no symptoms during the week, on the time off, away from the “culprit,” the organism takes the first chance to heal. By integrating GNM into our daily lives, we learn with growing gratitude the language in which Mother Nature speaks to us. https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/psyche-brain-organ.html

Discoveries of the Nervous System By John Ohm

Humanity is going through a great awakening, where the focus of attention in matters of health are shifting from external factors to the internal workings of the nervous system. Groundbreaking discoveries have been made regarding the intelligent operation of the brain and central nervous system that offer key insights into our health. With these discoveries, scientific medicine can no longer stand firm on a strictly mechanistic interpretation of biology. The following is an excerpt from the introduction to German New Medicine: Experiences in Practice by Dr. Katherine Willow, N.D. It is my hope that this awareness grows and that the calling to evolve our understanding of life reaches all who are interested. Let us enter a new paradigm of medicine! Thank you for taking the time to investigate German New Medicine (GNM), a set of proposed discoveries about disease and healing. I hope they will benefit you and your family. Furthermore, my hope is that influential readers will be inspired to initiate and support the research necessary to begin integrating GNM into our medical system. I am convinced that these discoveries are important contributions to medicine and can change how we understand and treat disease. GNM may be a pivotal insight that leads us to success with cancer, heart disease, diabetes, mental illness, and many other conditions. The core premises of German New medicine were discovered in the late 1970s by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer, a medical doctor in Germany. Dr. Hamer continued to unravel their mysteries amidst the controversy that tends to surround groundbreaking discoveries until his death in July 2017. After encountering GNM in 2001, I have been using it in my practice of naturopathic medicine since 2003. The startling results I have seen with my patients compel me to share my experiences. This book is a summary of the new laws described by Dr. Hamer together with patient stories that demonstrate how they work. From what I have seen, these new principles have the potential to improve our understanding of medicine, both mainstream and alternative. I have observed that applying them correctly can increase the survival rate and quality of life for people with many diseases, both physical and mental, with less treatment than I ever thought possible.

GNM is a wholly new paradigm, flying in the face of what we thought we knew about disease and cure. It takes time to digest and understand. Many outspoken critics of GNM have skimmed its parts and condemned it without comprehending its entirety. When thoroughly understood and correctly applied, it offers verifiable results as I have experienced firsthand. Voices from all corners of medicine make similar claims of cures using various substances and techniques. I have investigated several in hopes of helping my patients; some of them are useful while others mainly support commercial interests. GNM is different from anything I have seen in the healthcare field. It is not a product or technique, nor does it limit the type of medicine used in treatment to either mainstream or alternative practices. GNM offers a set of new principles for all of medicine, a new understanding of how and why we become ill and how we heal— which can be applied by any practitioner for better results with their patients. GNM was originally termed New Medicine by Dr. Hamer and then copyrighted by him as German New Medicine to differentiate his findings from other versions of the term “New Medicine.” Dr. Hamer and German New Medicine attracted considerable commentary and reaction, which will be briefly summarized, however this book will focus mainly on clinical efficacy. Much more background information is available on Ilsedora Laker’s website newmedicine.ca, for those who are interested. —Katherine Willow, N.D. German New Medicine presents discoveries of the brain and nervous system that validate the mind-body connection to disease. Specifically, it shows how traumatic conflicts in life—identifiable on a brain CT scan as circular lesions—cause symptoms in corresponding organs of the body. These discoveries grant predictability in the phenomenon of disease. https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/informed-choice/discoveries-of-the-nervous-system.html

What I Believe By Alvin De Leon, DC

I believe we all have the capacity to heal ourselves. Each and every one of us at some point in our lives has witnessed the body’s amazing healing capabilities, whether it was from a cut, a fracture, or even an infection. I believe that you know your body better than anyone else. Deep down, maybe you’re questioning whether the key to being healthy really lies in our genetics, in avoiding environmental toxins, or in improving our dietary and lifestyle choices. Perhaps the secrets to health lie within us and not something on the outside.

Self-healing and the,Five Biological Laws of Nature

My story began as I held my 2-year-old son in my arms as he was having a febrile seizure. It was theBROWSE longestBY and most helpless 30 seconds TOPIC LOOK INSIDEI’ve ever experienced. The 0

period after the seizure was a real lowSUBSCRIBE point in my life. I was confused and overwhelmed; I felt like I’d failed as a father. I thought we’d done everything we were supposed to do in order to raise a healthy family, and yet there was no explanation why this happened. I also felt embarrassed as a health practitioner. How was I supposed to help my patients get healthy if I couldn’t do it for my own family? The days that followed my son’s seizure were filled with confusion, anxiety, and overwhelm. I felt powerless and scared. But during those dark times I reached a decision. I realized that even though I didn’t understand how everything happened, it didn’t mean that the answers weren’t out there somewhere. I decided to uncover them. It’s funny how motivated we can get to learn something new when our current understanding of how things work no longer applies. That was a turning point in my life. I became very inspired to learn as much as I could about health and healing, to challenge everything I was being taught, and to keep searching until something made sense for me. Maybe you’re on a similar journey. It was on this path that I serendipitously came across a revolutionary health paradigm discovered by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer, known as German New Medicine (or GNM). GNM is a complete scientific system that explains the cause, the development, and the natural healing of diseases based on Five Biological Laws of Nature. It explained a lot of the things that could not be explained by my old health paradigm, with answers that are based in science, embryology, and human evolution. Something just felt right to me about GNM. My life changed once I truly took the time to understand and embrace the Five Biological Laws. I finally felt empowered and liberated from the fears that we all have about our health. Like any new perspective, it presented certain challenges. Not everyone wanted to hear about a different way to understand their symptoms. People just couldn’t wrap their heads around it. They would say to me, “You’re telling me that all the diseases and ailments in the world can be mapped out in the brain and are tied to unexpected conflict shocks that people subconsciously perceive in their lives? I don’t buy it! It can’t be that simple!” Well, I’m here to tell you that it is that simple. It is not

necessarily easy to apply, but it is that simple! The first step is a willingness to see our symptoms and diseases differently. BROWSE BY TOPIC

That’s what I did. I didn’t base my opinion on what people said or what I read; I decided I was going to experience it for myself. I started to implement the Five Biological Laws in my life first, and then slowly incorporated them into my practice. It was really challenging at first, like learning any new skill. It takes practice, persistence, and patience, especially because it’s a whole new way of thinking about health. But it didn’t take long for me to start to learn how to identify conflicts, how to ask the right questions, and how to make the connections. I started to see immediate results. The more I observed the Five Biological Laws all around me, the more confidence I had in the validity of its work, and the more it expanded my clinical practice. People were amazed at how quickly they were getting relief, and how logical it was…and so they began to tell others. Soon I had people from 35 countries watching my webinars, attending workshops, and asking questions in order to get a better understanding of this health paradigm. Patients began helping their own families and friends identify their conflicts. People finally started to take control of their health! I believe that you too can learn to implement the Five Biological Laws in your life— and once you get relief from your symptoms, it will change the way you live forever. We are all so tired of being fearful and worried about our health, or our family’s health. I envision a future where we are no longer afraid about what we eat, or worried to shake someone’s hand or hold a door handle without using sanitizer. I believe in a world where our children will no longer be afraid of any disease— especially cancer—and will ask questions like, “Daddy, what conflict causes lung cancer?” I foresee a future where patient-centered care really means that the patient is in charge, and is honored as the expert of his body, and where therapeutic suggestions and recommendations are provided without fear, guilt, or coercion. I believe that deep down we all want to be in charge of our health, but we have never been given the opportunity. I think the time has come! The time to embrace a new health perspective is now.

Summer Sun By Andi Locke Mears, MA

Freedom From the Carcinogen Fear

Summer is here. It is a time when I see fear rampant on the beach, as we slather chemicals on our children’s skin, or cover them from head to toe. We don’t want them to get cancer from the sun, do we? So we do our due diligence and cover ourselves and our children with whatever our conscience allows. But what if the sun really doesn’t cause skin cancer?

I, too, used to believe this, until I discovered German New Medicine (GNM)and learned that the sun doesn’t “cause” cancer. GNM is a new science of medicine based on Five Biological Laws discovered by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer over 35 years ago. The Five Biological Laws explain the cause, the development, and the natural healing of diseases in all living beings. GNM allows us to see symptoms and diseases in a different light, providing predictability for any given individual. It teaches us that cancer is not caused by random malfunctions or malignancies, but is instead a consequence of a natural biological program of adaptation that assists an individual during unexpected emotional distress. GNM correctly links our psyche, brain, and organs—a true mindbody science that is verifiable in brain CT scans. A whole new world opened for me when I learned GNM. I found I was able to assist clients with much greater success because I knew what was occurring in their body, why it was occurring, and what to

do to help it. And I teach it to every client so they, too, can understand their bodies better and get out of fear. So, if the sun doesn’t cause skin cancer, then what does? According to GNM, when our psyche perceives an unexpected “attack” against the skin (which incidentally can https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/summer-sun.html

It is also caused by:  a figurative attack a verbal attack a physical attack an attack against your integrity (such as when your boss falsely insinuates you stole from the company) feeling disfigured (from an “ugly” surgical scar, for example) feeling soiled (when we unexpectedly touch something we perceive is disgusting, filthy, or repellent) The entire orchestra of cells, organs, hormones, and tissues are hardwired for survival. Our brain and nervous system act as the conductor of each survival adaptation. When any of these perceived attacks occur, our brain (from the cerebellum relay that controls corium skin activity) instantly sends out the signal to grow extra cells at the site of the attack, for the sole purpose of creating protection. There is no blame here, nor are we victims—our brain is simply taking care of us in our unique situation. With GNM, we now have the knowledge that lets us understand our bodies and support them much more effectively. When we’re no longer feeling attacked and we’ve resolved the issue, very specific microbes associated with the corium skin are “turned on,” with the sole purpose of breaking down the

extra cells. The skin will change color, size, and texture during this “healing” or recovery phase. Other symptoms related to the recovery phase of a corium skin adaptation are acne, shingles, candidiasis of the skin, and cysts. The type and severity of the recovery symptoms depend on the duration and degree of the preceding “attack” experience. However, https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/summer-sun.html

Unfortunately, in some cases these symptoms are deemed or diagnosed as “malignant,” and this sudden fear can cause additional conflicts in the psyche, initiating further programs of adaptation in the body. So, with this new knowledge, do we allow ourselves and our children to get sunburned? Of course not. The sun is capable of causing oxidative stress that a healthy body can generally repair easily, particularly if the person acclimates to the sun slowly and eats a nutrient-dense diet to stay strong. From her article “Skin Deep,” published by the Weston A. Price Foundation, Sally Fallon Morell writes: “In most situations, normal exposure to the sun is beneficial, not harmful, especially if you take care to avoid polyunsaturated oils and trans fats. If you are fair-skinned and find yourself in situations where long exposure to the sun is unavoidable, be sure to cover your torso with a shirt, wear a hat, and use a safe sunscreen like zinc oxide on your nose and cheeks.” The timeless research of Dr. Weston A. Price taught us a diet rich in vitamins A, D, and K, found in healthy fats, keeps our bodies strong. Increase your intake of foods like pastured lard, butter, raw egg yolks, fermented cod liver oil, and high vitamin butter oil. With GNM, we have the opportunity and knowledge to understand symptoms and diseases differently which may, in turn, change how we react and the choices we make. If we have no fear of the sun and are able to quickly downgrade or resolve any perceived attacks against us, it means our body will break down the extra skin cells naturally. If we support our body’s innate ability to do so, it will. Franklin D. Roosevelt is often quoted saying: “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” GNM teaches us how to get out of fear so we can spend more time being present and living life to its fullest.

Fear Is The Sickness By Kelly Brogan, MD

When we can move beyond fear into curiosity, we find that illness is the body’s wisdom playing out in its own highly designed and incredibly personal way. The labels: Depression. Pertussis. Breast cancer. Hashimoto’s. These are more than words— these are modern-day hexes. They have this power because culturally supported beliefs give meaning to our perception of these observed signs and symptoms. We create that meaning as a collective, and then we pass it on and around. We decide, together, what we will be afraid of. The list is curated and

What is an anxiety disorder? Why is worrying a problem? Does worry really make us sick? Enter the nocebo effect. Perhaps you’ve heard of the placebo effect, which is when we’re “tricked” into feeling better by a sugar pill. Nocebo is the opposite, and it loosely translates to being “harmed by expectations.” But there is typically no sugar pill involved— just the power of belief. This phenomenon is called “expectancy” in the medical literature; for example, when subjects are told that they might be randomized to a sugar pill in a trial of a popular medication like Prozac, this belief can cause a complete loss of reported benefits, even for those patients not on the sugar pill. Interestingly, it seems that males’ responses depend more strongly on information given about placebo (a.k.a. intellect-driven responses), whereas women are more sensitive to conditioned responses (a.k.a. felt responses) in the context of nocebo. That is, female study subjects who merely witnessed another female reporting side effects from a medication were twice as likely to experience these side effects from a sugar pill/sham medication. This is referred to as “social modeling.” So if our culturally conditioned beliefs about harm and vulnerability can influence our physiology, then how do we understand this bodily response? Is the body just easily tricked, or is it responding intelligently to what we perceive as a conflict, distress, or danger? Could an experience of fear actually be what seeds the symptoms ultimately diagnosed as disease?

Ignoring the Root Cause

If we perceive fear-inducing distress in life, it likely stems from our pre-existing wounds. Psychotherapist Francis Weller has categorized these wounds as isolation, loss, shame, separation from nature, and even the inheritance of family baggage. When we carry this grief, it colors our experiences and informs our personal alarm https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/inspirational/fear-is-the-sickness.html

systems. And, perhaps, this grief tells our bodies when and how to respond with symptoms. Once that response is underway, then are invited to respond again to BROWSE BY TOPIC LOOKwe INSIDE 0

SUBSCRIBE the symptoms themselves. Do we freak out and run to the ER? Or do we embrace the

symptoms? My teacher, Swaranpal, saw a shaman recently and had a transformative experience. The next day, she developed a fever and left me a message, from her bed, about how awesome it was that her body was processing the psychospiritual shift. A fever can, in fact, be awesome, through the lens of appreciation for bodily wisdom.

Translating Emotions to the Body

This isn’t really news. The scientific discipline of psychoneuroimmunology has been around since the 1990s, telling us of a connection between the immune system, the psyche, and the brain. NIH researcher Candace Pert, Ph.D., discoverer of the opiate receptor, was one of the first to legitimize that emotions encode in the body, a notion that could so easily be dismissed by the “body as machine” model of medicine that has dominated the past 300 years. This is one of the theories around how and why emotional releases and inexplicable healing can occur through yogic technology, such as kundalini yoga, that involves repetitive self-stimulation of certain body regions. And this is why my greatest advocacy is to orient you around the story that speaks your truth. If you believe that challenges—and even adversity—hold a meaning, that the body has an innate wisdom, and that the cosmos operates under the principles of an elegant design, then you bend and flow with what comes. You bring curiosity to bear. And you live a life that is emergency-free. To get there, you have to stop fighting the war, you have to relinquish your role as victim dependent on a system that holds all the answers that you yourself don’t have within. When we look, we see wartime narratives embedded throughout our consciousness. Like “fighting” depression, cancer, and germs.

prognostic hexing has led people to literally commit doctor–assisted suicide because of their experiences of hopelessness induced by these psychiatric memes. But what if we ask why depression is happening? What if we personalize it in a different way? Not by blaming a given individual’s broken brain and faulty genes, but by empowering them to explore its roots. And to reunite with their symptoms as messenger, not enemy. The smoke alarm, not the fire. I believe that the outcomes I have in my practice are largely attributable to the container of fearlessness that I create. A safe haven for every ugly emotion to surface and transmute. Where the words “worry” and “concern” are eliminated from our shared vocabulary, and where every aspect of the experience of symptoms becomes a meaningful missive to interpret in the context of the patient’s lifescape. Without this fear, we are able to receive any and all of what comes without resistance, and with open arms, allowing for dramatic reversals to unfold.

Cancer

My mentor, the late Nicholas Gonzalez, M.D., was one specific influence in my life that reinforced this fearless approach to illness. He helped to blast away any residual carve-outs—any circumstances in which I might say, “Well, that does require conventional medicine.” As I studied and learned of his natural healing protocol that enabled decades-long outcomes with terminal cancer patients, I knew that there was, indeed, nothing to be afraid of. Ever. And when patients who had otherwise been hexed by the medical establishment met with him, they too shed their fear in favor of faith in the body’s capacity to self-regulate and heal, even if part of the healing looked like sickness. And they did heal, by the hundreds. While Nick had a protocol based on personalized nutrition, detox, and supplementation (one that has greatly informed my own), is it possible that this protocol only fortified the body’s self-healing response, but that it wasn’t actually what healed the patient? https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/inspirational/fear-is-the-sickness.html

itself once the original psychic conflictSUBSCRIBE is resolved. In other words, the disease is actually adaptive, and evidence of a healing process already underway. Dr. Hamer believed that psychic conflict, and particularly shocking conflict that is perceived as distressing, gives rise to a corresponding physiologic process that includes changes in cellular proliferation of organs. This process spontaneously resolves (with the help of the inner microbiome) when the conflict is addressed. This notion helps explain data on repressed anger as a top cancer risk and reaffirms that perception and cultural context is at the core of disease. The most compelling aspect of German New Medicine is that it recontextualizes cancer as “nothing to be afraid of”; as Sayer Ji reports on greenmedinfo.com, what we think of as cancer is simply the body’s secondary process of resolving the psychic injury of the cancer diagnosis itself. Even conventional medicine agrees that certain early stage cancers, like DCIS breast cancer, thyroid cancer, and prostate cancer, should be left alone, as the “treatments” do nothing to prolong life and instead are likely detrimental. In fact, treatment with chemotherapy and radiation not only disrupts a complex process that needs to actually be supported, but also it induces secondary harm, both psychically and physiologically. When we interfere and war with the body, we keep the fight alive. You can’t win the battle against yourself.

Infection

Preschool-level depictions of the immune system as a troop of soldiers fighting off the enemy germ invader have always inspired an internal eyeroll, but it wasn’t until my deep dive into the complexity of immunology that I came to understand that we know nothing of it. In fact, the vast majority of immunology is thoroughly and completely devoted to vaccinology. For all intents and purposes, medicine doesn’t care to learn about the immune system outside of how it’s poking and prodding can support the illusion that vaccines have beneficial effects.

Wait, vaccines must have beneficial effects if they produce antibodies, right? Antibodies have been deemed synonymous with disease BROWSE BY TOPIC LOOK INSIDEprotection, and even used 0

SUBSCRIBE as surrogate markers for claims that vaccines “work” in the laboratory setting, but is

there actually any science for this? And do the antibodies produced upon vaccination actually bind to and inactivate disease-causing agents? What if antibodies are simply response elements that support the body’s reaction to the many toxic chemicals in vaccines, ranging from detergents like polysorbate 80 to formaldehyde? And what about contagion? Has it ever actually been proven that germs travel from one person to another and infect them? Does a yawn spread that way? What about women’s menstrual cycles syncing up when they live together? What about fearinduced illness, which is strikingly demonstrated in a study in which women who were convinced that they were inhaling “contaminated air” got sick when they saw others get sick from it—despite the fact that there was nothing wrong with the air. Then there’s people who only get symptoms of the cold when they believe themselves to be unwell at baseline; perhaps they sense not their immunological vulnerability, but the need for their body to take an opportunity to rebalance. I have come to believe that infectious signs are evidence that the body knows how to, and needs to, eliminate. Vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, coughing, sneezing, and runny noses all have exudative elimination in common. I choose to believe that these are healing processes, the same way that pediatricians of old who saw children through experiences of so-called infectious illness witnessed them enjoy milestones of growth in the wake of these processes. As we sit in even more curious territory, what other assumptions have we made that have been disproven or remain unproven to date? Science can be a beautiful tool for discovery, but only if it is allowed to dispassionately acknowledge when a more complete picture is emerging. Germs as pathogens is a complex question that science has contributed rich literature to in the past two decades. With the dawn of the microbiome—our inner ecology that reveals our harmonious relationship with and our dependence on the very microbes we have demonized— everything about orthodox medicine should have changed. Including the discovery of so-called viruses embedded in our own genomic material, calling into question whether or not viruses actually exist in the way we have assumed. Has a discrete virus, deemed unable to https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/inspirational/fear-is-the-sickness.html

Science is revealing that these exosomes look a little too much like viruses for our comfort, leaving us once again seeing the enemy as a critical part of ourselves.

What Does Healing Look Like?

So, if fear is the sickness, then what is the cure? It’s possible that it is as simple as a shift in mindset and a reframing of the felt experience of the body. In fact, that may be all that Dr. Gonzalez, Dr. Hamer, and I are here to do—engender an experience of trust in the body, in the journey, and in the exquisite design of it all through our beliefs, our lived experiences, and our outcomes. To introduce a new story, where no one is a victim of bad genes, bad luck, and an unwanted lifelong relationship with the pharmaceutical industry. You have a choice to bring curiosity to this challenge, to support your body through it rather than interfere with it, and to uplift a sense of your truest self, which lies underneath the experience of physical healing. In this way, you put a soundtrack to your life that says, “Isn’t this interesting” and “There’s nothing to worry about” and “You’ve got this” instead of one that says, “But what if I don’t…?” and “Oh my God, I couldn’t live with myself if…” and “What would everyone think if…?” and “Why is this happening to me? It’s so unfair.” It’s happening to you because it is a part of you. The experience of illness is so deeply meaningful and purposeful that it is, quite literally, showing you yourself. Embrace it. Because, as it goes, “Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.”

discovers TB bacteria in a healthy human being, he or she cannot predict where, when, or even if that individual will exhibit an inflammatory condition of “tuberculosis.” This completely changes with the discoveries of German New Medicine (GNM). Here, tuberculosis (TB) can be predicted in any individual harboring TB bacteria by the use of a brain CT scan. (GNM offers a new science of understanding all organic diseases in the body.) If a concentric, spherical brain-lesion or Hamer Herd (HH) exists overtop a brain relay in the brainstem or cerebellum (controlling an organ that is evolutionarily symbiotic to tubercular bacterial activity such as the lung alveoli, the iris, or the corium skin), then a GNM CT reading can predict the manifestation of TB in that individual, which exact organ is to be affected, and even “when” it will occur. When a HH lesion in one of these parts of the brain turns to fluid edema, as exhibited on a CT scan, then the TB “infection” will commence in the correlated organ. Furthermore, we can demonstrate a paradigm-shattering model of prediction based on the one-to-one relationship that exists between the Hamer Herd in the brain and its psyche-level equivalent in experience; where each HH lesion in the brain corresponds to an acute, unexpected “conflict shock” in life. As the result of greatly successful, thorough, and in-depth research over tens of thousands of respective cases spanning over three decades, GNM has amassed criteria that establishes a new science of Nature’s psyche-brain-organ interrelationship. For example, it can be shown that every individual with an HH https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/chiropractic/natures-blueprint-for-health.html

SUBSCRIBE conflict.” One of several examples of such a biological conflict is when an individual is

“not able to catch a visual morsel, such as not being allowed to see a beloved person.” (For the HH to manifest, the experience must be acutely unexpected, isolating, and biologically and emotionally meaningful to the individual.) The paradigm shattering model of prediction to be gained by this psyche-brain-organ connection with respect to TB of the iris, choroid, or ciliary body is as follows: Since TB activity will only commence when the HH lesion turns to edema, and since the lesion will turn to edema in the brain only when the individual resolves the

specific conflict in life, (for instance, by regaining visual contact with the beloved person) then we can predict that this psychological resolution event will immediately precede the onset of the tubercular activity in the associated organ. In other words, if a “visual morsel” conflict occurs where the HH observably exists in the brain relay controlling the iris, choroid, or ciliary body, then “tuberculosis” can now be predicted to occur in that organ once the individual resolves their unique biological conflict. The biological meaning for the tubercular activity is now also revealed. By way of the 5 biological laws of the GNM, it can be demonstrated how the iris, choroid, or ciliary body grow and multiply endodermal cells upon a “visual morsel” conflict shock. The archaic, biological purpose of the additional cells in the eye is to be better able to absorb the visual morsel. After resolution of the conflict, tubercular bacteria enter the affected germ layer to deconstruct the previously added cells, causing the inflammatory condition. Not only can we predict the onset of this condition with precision regarding where it will occur and to a large extent when (dependent on the HH and its resolution), but we can also ascertain the biological meaning or purpose that underlies the phenomenon! The microbial activity is part of an organic restoration process of the previous cellular adaptation directed and controlled from the brain!

injury, or starvation). What we have is SUBSCRIBE a fundamental transformation in our model of health and disease, where “disease” is no longer tenable as “an entity” of its own accord, with often-perceived maliciousness via some “pathogenic” agent, but is instead a normal, natural, and predictable consequence of an underlying Biological Program of Nature—an intelligent and intrinsic part of our biology’s desire to adapt and overcome challenging experiences of conflict shock. Humanity has been largely blind to this paradigm of disease because the biological program was unknown to science. So many of our common symptoms have been misinterpreted as “malignant,” random, or devoid of meaning, because the cellular adaptation that gave birth to the consequent symptoms was unknown. This lack of knowledge has greatly limited medicine’s ability to effectively address the phenomena in question, though finally, we are entering a new era in science.

Chiropractic Connections

It has long been hypothesized that vertebral subluxations are fundamental to a fuller understanding of biology, health, and disease. Ruling out mechanical injury (which may be distinguished under a separate category of vertebral “misalignments”), it is my belief that vertebral subluxations are one of the adaptive effects along the spinal column caused by these ancient “biological programs” which command a brain-organ surge of communication through a given nervous system pathway. The spinal subluxation isn’t a “misalignment,” per-se, but is a potentially predictable after-effect of the brain and organ’s augmented nerve activity through the spine. In poetic terms, it can be said that D.D. Palmer was palpating with his soulful hands vertebral subluxations which are of the same underlying phenomena that Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer discovered to exist in the brain. And both pioneers had connected their respective discoveries to the psyche and particularly to our experiences of “trauma,” or what Hamer specified as “biological conflict shocks.” Chiropractic adjustments to the nervous system—bringing balance and coherence to the function of the whole system—have offered such great historical successes in practice (including prevention) because of their ability to enhance and support the psyche, brain, and organ’s holistic adaptability to stress. https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/chiropractic/natures-blueprint-for-health.html

Whether this newly discovered spherical brain lesion can be interpreted as a “subluxation” is anBROWSE excitingBYquestion to be determined in chiropractic philosophy… TOPIC LOOK INSIDE 0

SUBSCRIBE However, the lesion clearly exists to relay an adaptive impulse to the body (from

above-down and from the inside-out) aimed at achieving a specific conflict resolution in life. It may be appropriate to interpret the brain lesion as a “superluxation” governing an augmented, intelligent biological program of adaptation. In either case, the brain-organ “program” of cellular adaptation seeks, from the biological level, the same intelligent goal that the psyche seeks from the psychological level—namely

resolution of the conflict that exists in life. Aligning ourselves consciously with this adaptive impulse by identifying and addressing the conflict in life, presents us with a new beginning in our scientific model for achieving health. Just as modern medicine achieves tremendous, almost miraculous, clinical success when aligning a broken bone by first honoring and understanding the body’s natural blueprint—“what the body wants”—so too can we learn to understand what the psyche, brain, and organ want in the case of organic disease. In other words, we can now know what the biological intelligence is trying to achieve by these meaningful cellular changes (and their consequent symptoms) that we have for so long labeled “disease,” but which could better be labeled symptoms of “recovery.” With the precise knowledge afforded here, we can align ourselves to Nature’s intelligence by working to achieve comprehensibility of, and recovery from, the underlying conflict in life. In summary, this new awareness unleashes a level of biological comprehension never before known in history. The HH brain lesion (or subluxation) unveils a vital map that points to a biological need for greater physical and emotional resources to

comprehend and navigate a unique and specific “trauma” or conflict-shock challenge. Such resources can now be beautifully instilled in an individual, through shared human awareness of the conflict, through empathy, collaboration, and through holistic chiropractic care of the nervous system which adds to the individual’s comprehensibility, adaptability, and sense of coherence. Then, with Nature’s intelligence honored and understood, we can achieve a higher health potential in life, known by the great healers of all time to be something that is born from within.

La Medicina Sagrada By John Ohm

How a revolutionary discovery of the brain and central nervous system opens the way toward a new future in medicine. For all the things medicine has given us, such as new knowledge, technology, and lifesaving safety nets, it has never been able to give us an explanation of disease that’s causal (non-statistical) and that alleviates our fears and angers. A new scientific model now exists that can alleviate the plagues of negative emotion humanity still faces regarding disease. It opens the way to a new understanding and approach to

In the 19th century, the founder of chiropractic, D.D. Palmer, phrased the fundamental question that has faced all medical paradigms since the dawn of time: “I desired to know why one person was ailing and his associate, eating at the same table, working in the same shop at the same bench, was not. Why? What difference was there in the two persons that caused one to have pneumonia, catarrh, typhoid, or rheumatism, while his partner, similarly situated, escaped?” The knowledge of a definitive cause of organic disease (diseases excluding injury, poisoning, or starvation) could not have been known with scientific clarity in D.D. Palmer’s time (although he was certainly the closest to uncovering the secret through his focus on the nervous system). Such a knowledge of disease causality would have been regarded as a sacred gift to humanity, and I believe chiropractors then would have been the first to adopt this gift into practice, just as they are doing today. Due to its monumental importance, the revolutionary discoveries to be discussed in this article have been given the overarching name of La Medicina Sagrada, or “the Sacred Medicine,” for it is a new medical paradigm and a gift to humanity, equipped with a sacred knowledge that points us toward a new and more beautiful world to come. Being the revolutionary discovery that it is, the Sacred Medicine—otherwise called GNM (German New Medicine) or the New Medicine—represents the greatest threat to medical orthodoxy since the founding of chiropractic, which arose amid the politically established pharmacopeias of their day. Therefore, like other progressive ideas in medicine, the Sacred Medicine lives behind a virtual “information wall”—an easily detectable but pernicious “pseudo-skeptic blockade”— which works to condemn ideas before their contents can be examined. Herbert Spencer once described this when he said: “There is a principal which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is contempt prior to investigation.”

Many in history have intuited that stress plays a role in health. Now we can know for sure that an acuteBROWSE stressful calledLOOK a “biological BYexperience, TOPIC INSIDE conflict shock,” causes

SUBSCRIBE disease in the body. How can we know? By studying the computer tomography (CT)

scans of tens of thousands of cancer and disease patients to discover in each case a distinctly visible brain formation (or alternatively, an edema) located overtop the brain relay that’s responsible for the function of the diseased organ. Then to explore their life histories to discover a common emotional trauma, or conflict, that occurred prior to their symptoms and diagnosis. And then to piece together a clear, predictable pattern based on new biological laws that can be verified independently by anyone and confirmed with a CT scanner. The discovery in the brain of distinct ring formations that correspond to diseases in the body was certainly the medical discovery of the century. But, for reasons we won’t go into, few were made aware of this discovery. What’s the purpose and function of this ring formation? Its purpose is to help adapt a specific organ in the body in response to a unique biological conflict shock—a life-threatening or shocking experience. The conflict is called a “biological conflict” because it not only engages the mind and emotions, but it causes an imprint in a specific part of the brain that guides the immediate, specific adaptation in the corresponding organ of the body. A biological conflict is completely dependent on the subjective experience of the individual. It is this subjective element that will determine the location of the brain formation and organ-adaptation that results. Or as Aaron Antonovsky states in his book, Health, Stress, and Coping, “If anything has been learned in the study of stressful life events, it is that what is important for their consequences is the subjective perception of the meaning of the event, rather than its objective character.” Just as the brain initiates the “fight or flight” response due to external perceived stress, so too can it initiate what are called “special biological programs of nature,” which cause organ-specific adaptations. Like a computer program, a biological program activates only upon a unique command. In this case, the command is the subjectively perceived biological conflict shock. The resulting organspecific adaptation that arises will last for as long as the conflict is perceived to exist.

manifest symptoms during the conflictSUBSCRIBE adaptation phase, while others only show symptoms after the conflict-stress is over, when the body can begin to heal and reverse the adaptation.

Manifestations with Meaning

The revolution in thinking comes when we see how symptoms of disease are actually meaningful manifestations of the body. No matter how much we may dislike them, symptoms are not an “error” or “faultiness” of nature. They are the result of an underlying adaptation to stressful life experiences—experiences that may have conflicted us for a brief moment in time, or for days, months, or even years. Let’s summarize the picture so far: A stressful life experience, called a “biological conflict shock” causes the appearance of…. A ring formation in the brain* that encircles a specific brain relay acting as a kind of command center. This formation then guides a biological program of adaptation which alters and changes a specific organ or tissue in the body.

* Wikipedia will claim that these brain formations are artifacts of the CT technology. Many researchers have shown that they are real objects in the brain, and this has been easily confirmed by leading CT construction engineers. Ryke Geerd Hamer (GNM’s pioneering discoverer) has also confirmed their existence via the new biological laws, which predict their activity and disappearance from the brain. One of the consequences of these brain-mediated organ adaptations is what we call symptoms of “disease.” For any given organ or body tissue, the brain will either initiate a process of cell ulceration in the organ, or cell growth, and this process causes symptoms.

Let’s look at one example out of hundreds of possible biological programs—people with lung-alveoli cell growths (lung tumors). InLOOK these cases you will be able to BROWSE BY TOPIC INSIDE

0

SUBSCRIBE observe two things: A ring formation in the area of the brainstem that controls the

lung alveoli tissue, and a personal testimony of a preceding experience of an acute death-fright conflict, or an acute fear of losing one’s life. This “death-fright conflict” results in an adaptive biological program that alters the lung alveoli cells by adding and multiplying cells to enhance the lung’s ability to absorb and transfer oxygen into the bloodstream. If the conflict lasts for a long enough time, these microscopic cell additions will continue until they appear as one or more tumors in the lungs. For this specific organ, there are usually no symptoms during the adaptation while the cells are multiplying, except that the individual is in a state of fight-flight physiology. Following the resolution of the death-fright conflict— when the fear is over—the body will go into a parasympathetic state and immediately stops multiplying the alveoli cells. The ring formation in the brainstem dissolves into an edematized region and the body begins to reverse the adaptation. It starts to break down the previously added cells. Here we have an additional groundbreaking discovery: “Germs” already present in the microbiome of the body activate during this restoration process to help break down the previously multiplied cells. In this example of a deathfright program, ancient and specific microbes, including fungi and tubercular bacteria, stir into action under the guidance of the nervous system, to help deconstruct the previously multiplied alveoli cells. This process leads to the symptoms of cough, rusty-colored sputum, fatigue, inflammation, and pain, varying from mild to severe, depending on the severity and duration of the preceding conflict. This example shows us two things. First, the causal origin of alveoli tumors is a traumatic “deathfright conflict.” Interestingly, one of the most common forms of what doctors call “metastasis” after discovering a primary cancer are these newly formed lung alveoli tumors. Now we can see why: The diagnosis of the first cancer—especially if it comes with a deathrelated prognosis—can result in a death-fright conflict that causes the alveoli cells to quickly multiply.

Second, this example shows us that the cause of “tuberculosis infection” is really innate to the organism. It is body’s post-conflict “healing” or deconstruction BROWSE BYthe TOPIC LOOK INSIDE

SUBSCRIBE process responding to help break down the previous cell multiplication. This helps to

explain why “latent TB” in millions of people around the world doesn’t result in any symptoms, even though the “pathogenic” microorganism is present in their bodies. These individuals can be young, old, healthy, unhealthy, smokers, drinkers, or athletic superstars—their bodies simply would not employ the existing tubercular bacteria unless there was a related biological conflict going on in their lives which required these microbes’ participation. You can imagine any number of life events that may be regarded as a “death-fright conflict.” Stumbling upon an angry tiger and her cubs, for example, or hearing a doctor’s stunning, life-sentence diagnosis. One can also incur this conflict on behalf of another—for instance, if a loved one almost falls off the ledge of a cliff. However, it must be remembered that the same experience for a different person may be subjectively different, resulting in a completely different biological program of adaptation. There are many kinds of biological conflicts, such as anger conflicts, territorial conflicts, identity conflicts, separation conflicts, loss conflicts, self-devaluation conflicts, motor conflicts, and morsel conflicts. Each one will engage a different part of the brain to mount a meaningful adaptation in the body. It’s fascinating to note that in addition to the changes in the organ, there are also changes going on in the psyche. While there is always an evolutionary survival purpose to the organ adaptation (for instance, increasing oxygenation in the lungs after a death-fright), there are also mental and emotional changes which affect how we perceive and act in the world.

An Alternative to the Immune System

We can re-contextualize pandemics such as the 1918 flu under this new model, with tremendous implications. In 1914, the First World War began as a terrible surprise to many millions of people. SUBSCRIBE example, symptoms of rusty-colored sputum, cough, and fatigue only come after the

stress is over, when the body can reverse and heal from the previous cell multiplication adaptation. 1918 was the year World War One came to an end, when the conflict would have been resolved in millions of people. Other diseases followed this same pattern. For instance, bronchial pneumonia at the end of the war was the result of a different conflict: a “territorial fear of aggression,” or the fear of an “outside aggressor” entering one’s “territory.” This conflict resulted in a bronchial lung cell-ulceration adaptation (to widen the tubes to improve the body’s ability to inhale air faster), but symptoms only began after the conflict was over, when the body began to restore the adapted tissue. For centuries, humanity has been operating under a paradigm that defined disease as a dysfunction of the body. Anything that was said to cause this dysfunction was regarded as “pathogenic.” Toxins,* bacteria, viruses, “malignant” cancer cells, and, before these, impure spirits, impure blood, curses, sexual fluids, and many others. All of them were considered pathogenic, said to either infect us, damage us, or corrupt us past a certain threshold, beyond which the body would fall ill. Whether or not this threshold was reached depended on many variables, including a “strong immune system.” As the name suggests, the immune system defended against microscopic or invisible attackers and invasion, preventing a breakdown from happening.

* According to the findings of GNM, toxins are not a “cause” of disease, unless the toxic overload constitutes a biological poisoning event. However, it is still recognized that toxic accumulation hinders the body’s ability to function optimally. Adaptive processes are aggravated by toxic accumulation in the body. The idea of an immune system is vital to our traditional model of health, because without it there would be no feasible answer to the question: “Why does one person get sick, while another, harboring the same bacteria, virus, protein particle, or cancer cell, doesn’t?”

even has the right antibody titers) falls very ill. Despite these cases, the immune system theory remains firmly entrenched in public perception because there has not been a better alternative and because billions of dollars are invested in it. Finally, there is a better alternative! What if our understanding the immune system could be reconfigured as a “repair and support” system? What if the activities seen under a microscope are more akin to civilizational infrastructure projects rather than a microscopic world war? Is it possible that we can let go of the “immune system” idea altogether? Is it possible that we can satisfy the question of why people develop disease using a model that offers greater predictive power? Can we as a society replace the biological concepts of war, defenses, attack, battle, infection, and defeat with adaptation, harmony, intelligence, the nervous system, the psyche, and the microbiome? German New Medicine represents a movement to step out of what B.J. Palmer once called, “the old principles,” and to evolve the paradigm of human health and wellbeing toward a more beautiful conception of life. Fundamentally, it shows us a world that exists beyond the age-old construct of good vs. evil in biology—a construct that often turns a healthy human being into a battleground, as evidenced by so many “medicines” of the past and present. The new paradigm provides a scientific framework that revivifies the body to be something much greater than a biochemical machine at war with itself or its environment. For more than 200 years, we’ve been living with a reductionist science of biology that hoped to explain, from mechanistic atoms and molecules, the larger phenomenon of life such as organ activity, health, and disease. In that paradigm, we had to rely on concepts such as chaos, randomness, and pathogenicity. With the discoveries of GNM, we can break away from these old principles and radically exclaim with confidence: “Life expresses intelligence!” We can begin to understand biology from the basis of consciousness—seeing consciousness to be one with the body—and https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/la-medicina-sagrada.html

from this new scientific groundwork we can pronounce with equal conviction: “There is no pathogen!”

For what we are dealing with in the manifestation of organic diseases are meaningful biological adaptations to stressful life experiences—and that is all. I believe it will be asked by future generations, “How could we have left out that most vital of constants— experience and consciousness—and still have hoped to acquire a definitive answer to the cause and prevention of disease?” This brings us to the topic of medicine itself. In the case of emergency restoratives, such as re-aligning broken bones from accidents, modern medicine is unparalleled— especially thanks to the technology explosion of the last 100 years. However, in the case of organic diseases, from infections to cancers, modern medicine has many shortcomings. The reason for this discrepancy is that, in the latter cases of organic diseases, doctors only saw a pathogenic breakdown process; they did not see what the body really wanted. In their worldview, they couldn’t see how the body was operating within the context of mind, emotion, or past traumatic experiences, nor were they taught to appreciate the body within the context of an underlying intelligence that might at least indicate a meaningful, purposeful framework behind the manifestation of disease. The biological discoveries of GNM constitute a major shift in our approach to disease. It allows us to precisely align our actions to be in harmony with the intelligence of the body and mind and their unified purpose. I believe this new context will elevate medicine to the same level of success with disease that we have achieved with respect to acute restorative interventions. Chiropractors have known of the body’s innate intelligence and see it to be an expression of a greater Universal Intelligence, which, from the above-down insideout, stirs all living creatures to life. They recognize this intelligence to underlie all biological processes—including the manifestation of disease. This principle puts them at the leadingedge of their time.

Let’s review the process that gives rise to disease symptoms. First, we experience a biological conflict shock— an unexpected, isolating event. Our subjective interpretation launches a specific brain-mediated organ adaptation in the body. Depending on the organ, symptoms may arise during the body’s adaptation phase while the conflict is going on, or (more often), during the body’s healing phase after the conflict is over and the body begins to reverse and restore the adapted organ. If you are experiencing organic symptoms (discounting biological poisoning, injury, or starvation), then you know your body must have activated an underlying program as a result of a biological conflict shock. For instance, if we are experiencing the common nasal mucosa ”infection,” we can know, owing to the body of GNM research, that the biological conflict we experienced was a “scent or stink conflict,” and that the symptoms are a sign that we have resolved the conflict, and the body is now restoring the adapted tissue. All adaptations have their purpose. The asymptomatic adaptation of the nasal mucosa served the purpose of increasing our sense of smell through cell ulcerations in the mucosal membranes, which open the passages to allow for greater air flow. But now that the stressor is over, the body can reverse that adaptation, causing the inflammatory, “healing” symptoms. Knowing that the symptoms here are post-conflict healing symptoms, we can ask ourselves the question: “What stress in my life resolved just prior to the onset of symptoms?” Perhaps the answer comes to us immediately: “Well, earlier that day, my boss assured me he wasn’t going to fire me, much to my relief; a rumor had spread for a week that he was, and I was very worried.” Or, “I just completed a surprise deadline that I was sure was impossible and was going to ruin my reputation.” Or, “I was pulled over by a cop for the first time. The experience really freaked me out! I began to have symptoms that very night after I let it go and fell asleep.” (When threatened, an organism’s increased sense of smell can save its life. For human-animals, these programs may seem unnecessary for our survival. But this fails https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/la-medicina-sagrada.html

detective work on yourself or others isSUBSCRIBE a familiarity with the logic of the biological discoveries of GNM, and an investigation into the existing body of research that has tied the variables together: e.g., the symptoms, the organ-specific program, and the underlying biological conflict. In an ideal world, symptoms will go away naturally after the conflict resolves and the organ restores itself to normal tone. But chronic diseases, including allergies and autoimmune disorders, demonstrate that sometimes the body and mind do not move so smoothly through the adaptation and healing phases. Sometimes the mind or body gets hung up on a conflict, and this pattern can cause the body to maintain symptoms. Chronic disease, allergies, and auto-immune disorders can be understood anew. In each case we are dealing with biological conflicts that are “relived,” either by circumstances in our life, or by underlying emotions within our psyche that keep the conflict fresh in our consciousness. What we call allergies proves to be a most fascinating example. Allergens are environmental triggers that were present during the moment of the unexpected conflict shock. The allergen brings our subconscious back to the conflict episode, as though it were here again, close at hand. One professor described it succinctly: “If you suffer a biological conflict and a cow happens to be passing, you will develop an allergy to cows, but if you happen to be biting into an orange, you will develop an allergy to oranges.” Whenever we come into contact with these environmental triggers, the body becomes reminded of the original conflict shock that occurred months or even years before, which causes a relapse of the biological program adaptation, which then re-inflames the organ with symptoms. Work with a GNM practitioner, or with oneself, will help to uncover what that inceptive shocking experience was in our lives, so we can begin to understand it better, and determine what in our lives or in our psyche is reminding us of the conflict, and how best to resolve those attachments. In the case of chronic symptoms that have lasted a long time, this investigative work can be the key that helps us https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/la-medicina-sagrada.html

release the conflict, either by a mental shift or by a conscious change of circumstances.

In time, the success of any medicine or intervention will have to be seen within this larger context of the GNM discoveries, knowing now that the underlying cause of disease is a psyche-brain-organ syndrome, and not anything pertaining to the organ alone. As Plato famously said, “The greatest mistake in the treatment of diseases is that there are physicians for the body and physicians for the soul, although the two cannot be separated.”

“I can attest that the intimate knowledge of the biological and psychic mechanisms and their correlation with the medical symptoms always led to an improvement in the patient’s situation.” —Marc Frechet It is a great miracle to see a person previously suffering from a chronic disease, an allergy, or an autoimmune disorder to learn this underlying mechanism of what’s really going on in their body, and to resolve the attachments that were keeping the program active and on standby. And then to experience from this work the body’s self-healing potential freed up to clear away the symptoms. I believe this “miracle” will simply be the basic scientific reality that represents a new path for humanity, when science meets consciousness.

Conclusion

After studying the Sacred Medicine and its underlying biological discoveries, I’ve come to appreciate that its success comes down to two fundamental factors: the quality of the patient-doctor relationship, and the introduction of new knowledge, which empowers the individual with responsibility and ownership over the true cause of his or her disease. If you look at any shocking experience that initiates a biological program, you will find that it is always unexpected, and it is always isolating. In other words, it disempowers us with a feeling of uncertainty about what we can do. And it makes us feel like no one can help us. A good doctor can reverse this feeling, whatever the original emotional conflict may be. Similarly, new knowledge about the cause of the disease and its personal, meaningful purpose can itself reverse many

In the models of healing developed over the centuries, prophylactic chemicals were the primary medicine. “Following doctors’ orders” was the practice. And symptom eradication was the goal. In the Sacred Medicine of our time, knowledge is the medicine. Self-inquiry combined with various methods of supporting normal physiology is the practice. And mental, emotional, and spiritual growth from the “above-down inside-out,” as B.J. Palmer put it, is the goal. It is heartening to grasp the spiritual dimension of the new paradigm. This is the recognition that we create the program. We cause the program. We initiate the program. At some level of our being, we are totally responsible for the adaptations going on. This shift of perspective commands a tremendous growth of being. We can begin to look at biological programs as “technologies of the soul,” housed within the subconscious mind of Mother Nature, that we use according to our own needs and destiny. And we are only just beginning to wake up to how this living technology works! GNM offers us a beautiful gift—to know that our biological programs and their symptoms of disease arise from our experiences of life, and that they are one with the consciousness of the willing soul. When I share the revelatory findings of German New Medicine with friends and family, often we lose our footing with the familiar ground underneath us. Some of the ideas are not new: People of all ages have recognized the importance of mind and emotion on health and disease. But the new scientific discoveries that validate this connection with unparalleled clarity is simply profound to behold, and it’s the basis for many wonderful conversations. Sometimes fundamental questions come up. Why do people die of disease? What is the meaning and purpose of life? Such questions have been perennially asked by the philosophies and religions of our species. Now, I believe we are at a time when we can begin to investigate these questions with a firm footing in the emerging science of conscious biology. And with this foothold, I hope the first thing to happen is a https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/the-conscious-path/la-medicina-sagrada.html
