Sweet Cabbage

Ingredients 3/4 C. water 1 small head red cabbage, finely shredded 3 apples - peeled, cored and diced 1/4 C. packed brown sugar 1 C. distilled white vinegar

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground allspice 1/4 tsp ground cloves 2 tbsps butter, divided

Directions 1. Get the following boiling in a big pot: half of your butter, water, cloves, apples, allspice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vinegar. 2. Once everything is boiling, place a lid on the pot, set the heat to low, and let the cabbage lightly boil for 47 mins. 3. Stir the contents every 10 mins. 4. Add the rest of the butter and let it melt before serving. 5. Enjoy.

Boil the following until soft in stock: beets and potatoes. Get a frying pan and stir fry: salt, caraway, and onions. Fry everything until the onions are see-through. Now combine the following with the onions: cabbage, reserved stock, carrots, and celery. 5. Place a lid on the pan and cook the mix for 12 mins. 6. Combine the following with the cabbage: potatoes, beets, dill and pepper. 7. Stir the contents before adding: tomato puree, honey, and vinegar. 8. Place the lid back on the pan and lightly boil everything for 30 mins with a low to medium level of heat. 9. Place everything into a bowl, with a dollop of sour cream, diced tomatoes, and more dill. 10. Enjoy.

Place a lid on the pan and let the contents lightly boil for 50 mins with a low level of heat. 4. Get a bowl, combine: cornstarch and brown sugar. 5. Add this to the cabbage mix and get everything boiling while stirring the contents and then lower the heat again. 6. Now add in your sausages. Then place the lid back on the pan and simmer everything for 33 more mins. 7. Enjoy.

Now stir fry your onions with some pepper and salt in the fat until see-through. 3. Add in the sugar and vinegar. 4. Make sure to scrape the pan, then pour in your cabbage, and stir everything. 5. Let the cabbage cook for 9 mins then add: coriander, stock, and apples. 6. Place a lid on the pan, lower the heat, and let the contents simmer for 33 mins. 7. Stir the mix every 10 mins. 8. If necessary pour in a bit more stock to make sure the cabbage is tender after the cooking process. 9. Add the bacon and continue cooking everything until the sauce is thick, for about 6 more mins. 10. Now shut the heat and add in the sour cream and allspice. 11. Enjoy.

Place the following in your crock pot: garlic, beef, onions, beets, carrots, potatoes, and tomatoes. 3. Pour the wet mix over the potatoes and cook everything for 9 hrs with a low level of heat or 4 hrs on high. 4. After the cooking time has elapsed add in your cabbage and continue cooking for 40 mins with high heat. 5. When serving add some sour cream. 6. Enjoy.

Fry your bacon in a big pot and remove any excess oils. Combine in with the bacon: stock, pepper, tomatoes, salt, and potatoes. Now get the broth boiling and lower the heat. Cook the contents for 22 mins. Now add your cabbage cook everything for 5 more mins. Enjoy.

Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients 1 tbsp butter 1 large onion, diced 3/4 lb. ground beef 1/2 C. fresh bread crumbs 1 egg 2 tsps salt 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

1 head savoy cabbage, cored 2 C. chicken stock, or as needed 1 tbsp all-purpose flour 1 C. sour cream 1 tbsp diced fresh dill

Directions 1. Stir fry your onions in butter until soft then place them to the side. 2. Once the onions are no longer hot place them in a blender along with: pepper, beef, salt, bread crumbs, and eggs. Pulse the mix until it is smooth. 3. Get a saucepan and put the entire cabbage head in it. 4. Fill the pan with enough water to cover half of the cabbage then boil everything for 4 mins. 5. Now with a big spoon peel off the leaves one by one. Continue until only the core is left. 6. Oil a casserole dish and set your oven to 325 degrees before doing anything else. 7. Layer the bottom of your casserole dish with cabbage leaves. 8. Then place a few pieces of cabbage on a cutting board. 9. Using the cabbage on the cutting board, put some of the beef mix in the center of each piece of cabbage, and roll the leaves into little burritos. 10. Place your cabbage rolls on top of the leaves in the dish and cover everything with broth. Now put a final layering of more cabbage over everything. 11. Place a covering of foil around the casserole dish and cook everything in the oven for 1 hr. Pour all the broth into a pot. 12. Add in some sour cream and flour to the pot. Directions 1. Put beef into a crock pot and top with: pickling spice, onions, celery, potatoes, and carrots. 2. Now add in your broth and some water to submerge the beef. 3. For 8 hrs cook on the meat on high. 4. Then put everything in a big bowl and place a cover on the bowl. 5. Add 1 C. of broth to a pot and boil it until half evaporates, for 12 mins. 6. Place this broth in a bowl and add sour cream, and horseradish. 7. Now add your cabbage to the broth and place everything in the crock pot. 8. Cook the cabbage for 40 mins until tender with high heat. 9. Put the cabbage on a serving platter and add the rest of the broth to a bowl as a garnish your beef. 10.
