The Fargo sofa is designed by Anders Nørgaard who is our specialist in designing great modular sofa concepts for BoConcept. This classic sofa has a feminine expression and is characterised by soft, curved proportions and elegant details like the distinctive shape formed by the joining of armrest and seat frame. 'When designing a new sofa I always strive to add some kind of characteristic detail, which will define the sofa and give it a personality of its own. Most sofas have horizontal and vertical lines, but with the Fargo I wanted to add a nice twist to the armrest. I think the soft shape makes the Fargo sofa unique, and it works beautifully with the slim as well as the wider armrests'. You are spoiled with a soft upholstered frame so you have a very elegant and smooth finishing. And with a constant eye on individual taste, Anders Nørgaard has designed two types of cushions that you can choose from. Low back cushions - for a modern, horizontal look - and high back cushions, providing even more comfort. You can even choose to mix them. The Fargo sofa is the combination of of the most select materials, craftsmanship and modern technology. We have even worked with different fillings for the cushions, so you can Use smartphone to scan

choose your optimal sitting comfort. If you prefer a firm cushion that stays in shape and gives you good support, go for Classic Comfort. If you want to sink into a soft cushion, you can choose the Premium Comfort. Indivi 2 is the ultimate modular sofa system with 14 different seating units and 7 different armrests so you can create a sofa in the size, shape and look that you want. You can even choose different types of fillings for the seat cushions depending on the look and comfort you prefer. HENRIK PEDERSEN Henrik Pedersen is one of the upcoming stars of interior design. One of his first pieces of furniture was the iconic Imola chair for BoConcept, and he is one of the leading Danish designers of lamps. He graduated as a fashion designer in 1990 but uses his education to explore the full range of design. 'My education and experience is my toolbox. They provide me with a foundation. The creative process is really the same no matter what you design. It's the materials that make the difference and open up new possibilities.' His wide-ranging experience and his interest for maths give him an intuitive ability to quickly gauge if a new design will work or not. 'Experience and knowledge help, but the difference lies in how you use it. Good common sense and a passion for your craft will take you far.'

recognition including the Red Dot and the Chicago Anthenaeum Good Design awards. He has a unique talent for designing modular sofa concepts that look great no matter how you put them together. 'I grew up with functionalism and craftsmanship. Danish architects of the 50s and 60s were friends of my parents and among my teachers at the School of Architecture. Most of my school holidays were spent with furniture makers where the wood joiners taught me all about the craft.' Staying true to his Danish heritage, he still praises the detail: 'While function may be the starting point, it's the small bursts of details that make the difference. They refine the look and make the design distinctive.'

MORTEN GEORGSEN Morten Georgsen succeeds in bringing his Danish design heritage to an international audience who has embraced his talent for designing stylish furniture with multiple functions. He grew up in Western Denmark and has worked for the likes of Bang & Olufsen before founding his own design company 20 years ago. Now based in the vibrant city of Valencia, his ability to accomplish a lot with simple methods is put to great use when he designs furniture that is modular, foldable, extendable, and beautiful too. 'When you create multifunctional pieces, the challenge is to maintain the style and 'the simple is best' philosophy. The simplest, most modest look is by far the most complicated thing to achieve.' He is passionate about making good design available to more than the few: 'By the end of the day, furnishing is a practical need that we all have, and in that sense, we all deserve good style and quality that works.'

KARIM RASHID Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of this generation with more than 3000 designs in production and 300 awards including the Red Dot and the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design awards. From a very young age, Karim was obsessed with drawing. 'My father is a painter, an artist, and a set designer for television, and he took me sketching churches in England. He taught me to see - he taught me perspective and that I could design anything and touch all aspects of our physical landscape.' Years later, Karim completed his design degree in Ottawa, Canada, which is also the name of his dining room collection for BoConcept; a collection that expresses sensual minimalism: 'You concentrate on the matter of the object and through this, it becomes relatively minimal. But at the same time, there should be a sense of humanity. Something soft that touches you and makes you feel at ease.'

A red sofa. No thank you! was my reaction when Gadiel suggested it during his visit to my apartment. I prefer the minimalist style, and a big red sofa was not what I had in mind for my apartment. Gadiel did 3D drawings of the sofa and the entire room which made me change my mind. I could see that the colour and shape would add a characteristic dimension to the minimalist décor. My chair by the window is my favourite place to relax. I can enjoy the views and read a book. The rug, table and lamp has turned this little spot into a cosy corner by the tall windows.
